This fork is a rigid, handcrafted lefty, definitely not manufactured by the parent company.
A probable error in judgement on the part of the craftsman who built it meant that the lower plate area was significantly undersized in relation to the stress to which the fork is subjected. In fact, on the first ride, a crack appeared: the plate immediately began to detach from the fork body.
The only feasible solution, given the impossibility of removing the plates, was to wrap the part with new carbon fibre from the outside, in order to make it safe and usable again.
As can be seen from the last three photos, once the work was completed, there was no longer any trace of the problem.
