SCOTT FRAME
Following a fall, the gear hanger on this Scott Addict bike was bent beyond repair. This might seem like a frame to be thrown away, as the hanger, being designed as a fixed part by the manufacturer, cannot be removed or replaced. However, Doktorbike repaired it by rebuilding the derailleur hanger on a lathe and milling machine and securing it to the frame with a stainless steel screw and epoxy resin, making the part replaceable in the unfortunate event of a subsequent breakage.
Very often, over time, carbon-aluminum bonding problems arise, even in the best bicycle brands. An example of this is this Scott Scale frame, where the bottom bracket shell has come unstuck. However, Doktor Bike can repair it using a specific technique that he himself developed and tested over the years.
The black Pinarello bike has a crack in the down tube. The crack was caused by an accident involving the top tube near the bottom bracket. Diagnosis: easily repairable under warranty, even beyond the three-year period.
A classic horizontal tube break...the norm. Diagnosis: structural repair without problems and restoration of the color of the Pinarello bike tube.
